Patient FAQs

General
Why consult a urologist? Why consult a urogynecologist?

A urologist treats the urinary system in both women and men. The urinary system includes the bladder, kidneys, and urethra. A urogynecologist has additional training in the female genitourinary system and pelvic floor reconstruction. Dr. Campeau is both a urologist and urogynecologist, with expertise spanning a broad range of conditions and treatments

How do I get a referral to see a urologist or urogynecologist?

To be seen in Quebec’s public healthcare system, you must be a Quebec resident with a valid RAMQ card and obtain a referral from your family doctor. To be seen privately, you do not need a referral.
